How does a proxy server work

How does a proxy server work?

Normal proxy servers act as a wall between you and the information on the internet. The information that is commonly requested by internet users is stored in a database known as a cache. When the information is requested, the server provides it to you from the cache, many times at a faster speed than usual. However, these types of servers do not hide your IP address and your personal information is thus vulnerable. Anonymous proxy servers, on the other hand, hide your IP address and any personal information that may be vulnerable when you are surfing. In this way, these anonymous proxy servers secure you from any external attacks or unauthorized access to your computer. All your activities on the web are thus hidden by the server, even the fact that you are using an anonymous proxy server.
